Social Protection systems and programmes have been used or adapted in countries across the globe to respond to the COVID-19 crisis. This video showcases why and how this has been done. And sets out clear lessons to inform how we prepare for future shocks. The video has been produced by SPACE (Social Protection Approaches to COVID-19). SPACE is a joint initiative of FCDO’s Better Assistance in Crises (BASIC) and Gender Responsive Social Protection (GSP) programmes (funded by UKAid); GIZ (funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development); and the Australian Government through the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).
